Potosi Quilters meet in the fellowship hall of Potosi Baptist
Church, the 3rd Monday of every month, at 10 a.m.
People come from all over the Abilene area, beginners to
advanced, to join in the fellowship and fun.
One of our main purposes is to make quilts for those in need.
In the past years, we have given 20 quilts to the fire victims in
Cross Plains, 10 quilts to the flood victims in Stamford, and 6
quilts to the flood victims in Hamlin. We also give quilts to
local fire victims and returning soldiers, and our quilts bring top
dollar to the West Texas Rehab auction every year.
We frequently have teaching sessions, and you can also bring
what you are working on yourself. Some of our members have
quilting machines, if you need that. We have several field trips
throughout the year, to quilting shows and shops. Come join
